What is RSS/XML and how do I get ACR news updates
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” which is a special broadcast format for sharing headlines and other web content with interested end users.
You can subscribe (free) to the service.
This website uses a single channel DTD RSS 2.0 standard feed using XML (Extensible Markup Language) which is an international accepted standard for “marking” data using descriptive tags.
We intend to only use it to distribute “Whats New about this site” information so that when the site changes i.e the site is significantly updated or a new publication becomes available we will broadcast brief news item about it. You can then choose to revisit us to get the full details.
If you wish to receive the newsfeed simply live bookmark the newsfeed icon on the homepage.
Note To use news feeds your browser must be able to read them (e.g. news feeds can be handled by Opera ; free extensions are available for Firefox; add-ons are available for IE).
Alternatively you must have suitable newsreader software installed on your PC.
If you do not wish to subscribe to the news service you can view the current contes of the newsfeed here
